About the position

The Logistics Management Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO) by planning, organizing, and implementing deployment and base support plans. This position involves providing technical guidance to senior leadership and managing various programs related to installation support and contingency planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO) with planning, organizing, and implementing the Installation Deployment and Base Support and Expeditionary (BAS&E) Site Plans.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to senior leadership regarding the installation deployment program.
• Assist with the management of the Installation Support Agreements Program.
• Manage and monitor the Wing War Reserve Material (WRM) Program.
• Assist the IDO with Contingency Planning and determine the capability of the wing to support contingency taskings.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
• Males must be registered for Selective Service.
• Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
• Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in military logistics or deployment operations.
• Knowledge of DoD regulations and policies regarding deployment and logistics.
