About The Position

The Logistics Lead oversees material coordination, inventory management, and job site logistics to support construction operations. This role ensures that all materials, tools, and equipment are delivered accurately and on schedule, while maintaining efficient workflows and clear communication across the project. The Logistics Lead supports field teams, partners closely with procurement and vendors, and proactively resolves logistical challenges to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in logistics, inventory control, or procurement.
  • Ideally 2+ years of experience in a lead or manager-level logistics or inventory role.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in logistics, including coordination of material movement and scheduling.
  • Customer service skills with the ability to support internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of transportation and dispatch processes related to material deliveries.
  • Experience with third-party logistics and shipping coordination.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills for inventory and logistics records.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to work effectively with vendors, suppliers, and project teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability and willingness to work 50+ hours per week as needed to support project demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial construction logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track inventory of construction materials, tools, and equipment to ensure availability for ongoing and upcoming work.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain accurate stock levels, identify discrepancies, and minimize waste or loss.
  • Coordinate material planning and delivery schedules to align with project timelines and milestones.
  • Partner with procurement teams, vendors, and suppliers to manage orders, monitor shipments, and resolve delivery or quality issues.
  • Support job site teams by forecasting material needs and providing real-time updates on inventory status and deliveries.
  • Troubleshoot logistical challenges, including delays, shortages, or scheduling conflicts, to prevent or minimize project disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inventory levels, shipping records, receipts, and material usage for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with transportation and dispatch resources to coordinate shipments and optimize routes when applicable.
  • Perform data entry related to inventory, shipping, and logistics transactions using inventory management software and other digital tools.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders by responding promptly to material and logistics-related requests.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
