This role involves coordinating drayage to ensure on-time delivery to the port, managing driver calls, and building relationships with customers and warehouses to improve scheduling efficiency. The coordinator will also work with internal teams to manage inventory, request delivery date changes, and utilize GPS software for tracking and reporting. Additionally, the position involves dispatching temper releases, identifying process improvements, reviewing national dispatching for route efficiency, and training third parties on the Nextrack system. Compliance with Nextrack parameters, scouting and negotiating with new haulers, setting up new users, and monthly reporting on truck performance are also key responsibilities. The role includes coordinating labor with warehouses for loading appointments, resolving billing discrepancies, providing backup coverage for other logistics positions, and training various teams on TMS functions and Nextrack.
