Under supervision, perform a wide variety of activities related to the shipping of all outbound product. This role involves verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and ensuring compliance with warehouse operations for all outbound freight. The position requires reconciliation of various shipping documents, preparation of shipping documents and labels, and auditing orders and quantities against picking documents. Accuracy in all shipping documents is paramount, achieved through strict adherence to standard operating procedures. Data entry and maintenance of shipping and receiving records in the Epicor management system are key responsibilities, as is the preparation of accurate bills of lading using a warehouse management system. The role also includes comparing shipment information against records, affixing labels, consolidating shipping orders, and ensuring drivers have appropriate paperwork. Maintaining the inventory management system to ensure physical inventory matches database records is crucial. Additionally, the position involves handling telephone calls, maintaining shipping stations, monitoring and requisitioning packaging materials, coordinating with carriers for pick-ups, completing management reports, and assisting with special projects.
