About the position

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the shipping of goods in accordance with logistical schedules and customer expectations. This role involves a variety of shipping duties within a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and compliance with shipping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes personal safety and the safety of the plant, contributing to a culture of safety awareness.
• Performs a variety of shipping duties as part of the logistics team.
• Completes necessary paperwork and shipping records for shipments.
• Prepares packaging per customer requirements, including generating labels and forms.
• Utilizes customer portals to complete shipping requirements.
• Processes domestic and international packages including Ground, Air, Ocean, and Truckload/LTL orders.
• Prepares air bills, bills of lading, and sales order forms for carriers and company records.
• Contacts carriers for dispatching shipments and follows up for information.
• Ensures all export requirements are met before orders are shipped.
• Performs data input to update system records and verifies document completeness and accuracy.
• Interacts with other departments to resolve shipping or invoicing issues.
• Contributes to high-performance teams and engages in activities to drive impactful change.

Requirements

• Associate degree in business preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years in a logistics/customer service/distribution role.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, work orders, and short correspondence.
• Ability to communicate with other associates to share information, solve problems, and train.
• Knowledge of diagrams to ensure proper specifications are being met.
