The Lodging Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for inspecting and staging lodging units to ensure a positive sense of arrival for guests. This role involves reinforcing cleanliness standards through training, documenting inspections for piece rate tracking, and assisting the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeping Manager with maintaining cottages, mountain homes, walkways, housekeeping closets, and public areas according to resort standards. The position requires maintaining clean, orderly, and comfortable guest accommodations both indoors and outdoors, with a willingness to work in various conditions. Key responsibilities include supervising employees, ensuring cleanliness and stocking of amenities, directing housepersons, communicating with other departments, safely transporting housekeepers, ensuring proper uniform compliance, and completing room inspection checklists. The supervisor will also update room statuses, assist in ensuring units are cleaned before check-in, manage staff departure times, and be capable of assisting with cleaning rooms if needed. This role involves coaching employees, providing performance feedback, promoting a positive work environment, using critical thinking to resolve problems, reporting issues to management, and attending progress meetings. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints. All applicable paperwork must be completed and submitted to HR.
