About the position

The Locker Room & Facility Attendant at BASK Detroit is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility, ensuring a luxurious and welcoming environment for guests. This role involves upholding high standards of hygiene and service in locker rooms, saunas, and other areas, while assisting guests to enhance their overall experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and ambiance of all facility areas, including locker rooms, sauna, cold plunge, and outdoor lounge.
• Ensure fresh towels, toiletries, and amenities are always available and beautifully presented.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces frequently, including benches, lockers, showers, and changing rooms, to uphold a high standard of hygiene.
• Empty trash bins and ensure disposal areas are clean, discreet, and odor-free.
• Proactively assist guests with locker access, towel requests, and facility-related questions, delivering warm and attentive service.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Regularly monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, informing management when stock needs replenishing.
• Assist with laundry duties, such as retrieving, washing, folding and neatly stocking towels.
• Support the team in preparing the facility for special events and wellness programs, ensuring all areas are immaculate.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a high-end wellness, hospitality, or luxury environment is preferred.
• Commitment to delivering a high level of professionalism, respect, and mindfulness toward all guests.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding luxury standards.
• Ability to work independently while following a structured cleaning and maintenance schedule.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for delivering excellent guest service.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in warm and humid environments near sauna and cold plunge areas.
