About the position

The Location Manager at Hub Group is responsible for overseeing the delivery operations of appliances, focusing on client relationships and ensuring profitability through effective management of independent contractor partnerships. This role involves accountability for various operational expenses, staff development, and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction through effective communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on relationship with client to gain 100% of appliance delivery business
  • Focus on Independent Contractor Partnerships (Profitability & Compliance)
  • Achieve goals set forth by the client & Hub Group Final Mile
  • Develop and hold your staff accountable (if applicable)
  • Continuously recruit and retain Independent Contractors
  • Manage claims and their processes (with FOC assistance)
  • P&L Management (Controllables)
  • Manage Delivery Expense (Minimums / effective routing, support expense)
  • Oversee Operating Expenses (Operation Supplies, Truck Use, Uniforms charge back, MC Support Travel, Uncollected Debt)
  • Manage Warehouse Expense (Contracted Labor, Inventory variances)
  • Control Administrative Expense (Hourly, Contract Admin, Office Supplies, Recruitment, Travel & Meals)
  • Achieve Location Margin goals
  • Decide between rental car vs mileage reimbursement
  • Communicate effectively with the DIA, DIM and client staff
  • Lead Daily Stand-ups (Short, Effective and informative meetings)
  • Conduct weekly ride behinds in the field with teams to ensure client satisfaction and training
  • Showroom visits as needed to build/maintain relationship with client
  • Maintain tote inventory and hold BP's accountable (trade stock)
  • Enforce and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for loadout / warehouse oversight of QC with getting teams off dock
  • Actively route monitor teams from the road
  • Hold Weekly Operations Meetings with the DIA to review aging invoices and any issues/goals
  • Hold BP meetings as needed to review claims, settlements, compliance, etc.
  • Participate in Client and internal conference calls
  • Provide Weekly updates on your locations.
