Responsibilities
- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients in a MedSurg setting.
- Execute individualized patient assessments to create tailored care plans.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications.
- Initiate alternative actions when adverse symptoms are displayed.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as necessary.
Requirements
- Current RN License
- Experience in a MedSurg setting
- Ability to perform patient assessments and develop care plans
- Proficient in administering medications and IVs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Previous travel nursing experience
