Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' financial situations to determine suitable loan options.
• Assist clients in completing loan applications and gathering necessary documentation.
• Negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients and lenders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and Fair Housing regulations.
• Utilize financial software to process loans efficiently and accurately.
• Collaborate with escrow companies to facilitate smooth transactions.
• Conduct thorough underwriting assessments to mitigate risks.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process, addressing client inquiries promptly.
• Stay informed about industry trends and changes in lending practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial sales role.
• Strong understanding of mortgage servicing processes and underwriting criteria.
• Familiarity with TILA, Fair Housing regulations, and other relevant compliance standards.
• Proficient in using financial software and tools for loan processing.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in 10 key typing tasks related to documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• A commitment to providing outstanding customer service while adhering to ethical lending practices.
