About the position

Bay Equity is seeking a Loan Officer to join their team in Fort Collins, CO. This full-time position involves originating loans and providing exceptional customer service while adhering to state and federal regulations. The Loan Officer will leverage various marketing strategies to build relationships with clients and real estate professionals, ensuring a successful lending process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct business in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Market to clients through various sales efforts, including creating relationships with real estate agents and attending industry meetings.
  • Field inbound loan inquiries.
  • Originate loans and collaborate with the Loan Coordinator and processing team to close loans.

Requirements

  • NMLS license required.
  • Complete understanding of current mortgage laws, guidelines, loan programs, and trends.
  • Ability to assist customers in determining the best mortgage type for their needs.
  • Ability to negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Excellent sales and consulting skills.
  • Competent in performing mathematical and analytical tasks.
  • Ability to speak and present confidently in front of groups.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; AA or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
