About The Position
We are hiring motivated, reliable Line Cooks to join our Big Woods Speedway kitchen. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys preparing high-quality food from scratch. Big Woods Restaurants is one of Indiana’s fastest-growing hospitality groups, known for serving handcrafted brews, signature cocktails, and Midwest comfort food with genuine Hoosier hospitality.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with staff, management, and guests
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs. during shifts
- Must be at least 18 years old
Nice To Haves
- ServeSafe certification preferred
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items from scratch using a variety of culinary techniques
- Work closely with the Chef to execute dishes consistently and maintain kitchen standards
- Assist with training and developing fellow line cooks
- Collaborate with managers and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and rotation procedures
- Support the team with prep work, portioning, grilling, sautéing, and other cooking tasks
