About the position

The Line Cook position at Table Mountain Casino Resort involves assisting the Sous Chef and other cooks in the preparation of quality food for guests and team members. The role emphasizes effective communication, adherence to food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for food quality, temperature, portion control, plate presentation, and waste management.
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining assigned stations according to daily prep sheets, food safety and sanitation standards, and keeping the kitchen area free of hazards.
  • Monitor and ensure incoming orders are prepared in a timely manner in accordance with prep sheets, ServeSafe, and other regulatory standards.
  • Ensure food prepared meets standards and specifications utilizing correct portion measurements as stated in recipes.
  • Responsible for respectful and effective communication at all times.
  • Must perform daily inventory of all items specified on prep sheets.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen area and assigned work stations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months of food preparation/cooking experience or a combination of education required.
  • Good knife skills, knowledge of food safety, and general use of kitchen equipment required.

Nice-to-haves

  • ServSafe certification preferred.
