The Limited Scope X-ray Technician performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. This position is available at our Bon Secours Urgent Care in Greenville, South Carolina, offering Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN positions throughout the Greenville Market. As a full-time Urgent Care team member, you will enjoy contributing two 12-hour shifts and one 9-hour shift per week and a 6-hour shift on Fridays, including weekend rotations and paid Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs provider ordered radiographic examinations for specific anatomical parts allowed by obtained licensure
• Conducts proper patient positioning, immobilization, utilizing appropriate radiation protection
• Determines and selects proper electronic and technical factors which safeguard the patient, x-ray tube, and equipment, and reports immediately any malfunction, necessary adjustments, or repairs of equipment to supervisor
• Assists in medical documentation and clinical assistant duties as directed and supervised by the Provider
• Participates in promotion of positive culture and teamwork and demonstrates excellence in care in all interactions, for both patients and internal teams
• Maintains a safe and supportive environment by keeping the work area, exam rooms, and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe manner
• Understands and adheres to the legal responsibilities and requirements within the role
• Travels to other urgent care facilities if necessary or adjusting work hours to meet patient care needs as directed by the manager
• Performs cross-functional duties as needed, including front desk duties such as registration, scheduling, answering phones, cash handling and other duties not limited to scribing, ordering of supplies

Requirements

• GXMO Limited Scope license
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of healthcare or clerical physician practice experience (preferred)
• BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to independent patient care)
