About the position

The Lighting and Maintenance National Program Sales Executive is responsible for actively prospecting new customers and managing the sales process from initial contact through to the hand-off to a Project Manager. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, a drive for results, and advanced closing abilities, with a focus on the lighting industry.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new customers through cold calling and face-to-face sales presentations, driving the sales process through to closing.
  • Business Development with Lighting and Service customers such as retrofits and service and maintenance agreements.
  • Possess the ability to travel (10-20%) to visit with customers or attend trade shows.
  • Accurately review contracts to ensure the scope of work is clearly defined.
  • Smoothly transition the customer to the Project Management team.
  • Provide sales forecasting reports to leadership, as well as insight on local market trends.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of lighting industry is preferred.
  • 2+ years sales experience, with a proven track record of aggressively growing sales.
  • Technical proficiency in a variety of programs, including Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required for regional travel.
