About the position

The Life Enrichment Director at Greenridge Estates Assisted Living is responsible for creating a vibrant and engaging environment for residents. This role focuses on developing and implementing a variety of activities that promote social interaction, wellness, and community involvement among seniors. The director will work closely with residents, their families, and staff to ensure a fulfilling experience that enhances the quality of life for all involved.

Responsibilities

  • Engage residents, their families, staff, and the broader community in a unique Life Enrichment Program.
  • Dream up exciting activities related to outings, performances, education, wellness, spirituality, themed parties, and events.
  • Create monthly newsletters, calendars, and posters, utilizing software such as Illustratus, LifeLoop, Microsoft 365, and Canva.
  • Achieve and track goals related to engagement and participation, such as weekly 'touches' to every resident in the community.
  • Safely transport residents in the community bus for store outings and field trips 1-2 times per week.
  • Oversee the department budget, supplies, and equipment, purchasing items both online and during outings.
  • Collaborate with all departments; team with Marketing to plan and host events open to the surrounding community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in Assisted Living (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in Activity/Event Planning (preferred).
  • Proficiency in English.
