About the position
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for delivering direct or indirect nursing care to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health issues in a medical office environment. This role requires the application of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics under the guidance of a healthcare practitioner to effectively meet patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct or indirect nursing care to patients.
- Utilize knowledge of nursing principles and practices to address patient needs.
- Assist in patient/family education regarding health issues and care.
- Maintain infection control and safety standards in the medical office setting.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate health records.
Requirements
- Current California LVN license.
- Evidence of continuing education.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in direct nursing care in the medical office setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
