About The Position

This position involves assisting physicians with treatments and procedures, monitoring patient vital signs, and maintaining accurate patient records. The Licensed Practical Nurse will administer medications, collaborate with the clinical team to support patient care plans, and ensure patient care areas are clean and well-stocked. Responsibilities also include assisting with patient scheduling, authorizations, and referrals, as well as rooming patients and overseeing patient flow. The role may require cross-covering multiple practices.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
Current NY State LPN License and Registration
BLS Certification
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High level of organization
Effective time management
Ability to multi-task

Knowledge of the insurance process

Responsibilities

Assisting the physician in treatments and procedures
Monitoring of patient's vital signs, patient intake and output, and recording patient history
Reports data relating to patient's health status to the appropriate clinical staff
Identifies patient goals, communicates, and collaborates with clinical team to support patient care plan
Administration of medication, injections, and functions in the scope of the license
Cleaning of equipment in patient care areas
Maintain patient care rooms to ensure they are kept clean, and supplies are well stocked.
Maintain records of patient activities and observations
Submit records to the appropriate clinical staff regarding patient's condition
Assist with scheduling patients, authorizations and referrals to support office staff as needed
Cross-cover multiple practices as needed
Rooming patients
Overseeing patient flow
