About the position

The Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN will provide direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider. The LPN will observe, report, and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record. The LPN will instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans. The LPN will communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care. Our clinic provides a comprehensive range of surgical procedures for patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics. We specialize in breast surgery, craniofacial surgery, and reconstructive surgery to address congenital abnormalities, trauma, or cancer. Our team includes 8 highly skilled surgeons and 2 advanced practice providers. As a valued member of our nursing team, you would play a vital role in supporting in-clinic procedures, performing dressing changes, managing wound care, and removing sutures or staples, among other responsibilities. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population with varying needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Observe, report, and record medical information and nursing care in the electronic medical record.
  • Instruct patients and families according to teaching plans.
  • Communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate coordination of patient care.
  • Support in-clinic procedures, perform dressing changes, manage wound care, and remove sutures or staples.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.
