About the position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Comprehensive Home Care/Nursing Home and Transitional Care unit regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our welcoming Skilled Nursing Facility in Lake City, MN. Lake City Care Center is nestled near the picturesque Lake Pepin in southeast Minnesota. Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing cares and treatments
  • Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff
  • Maintains current observation and documentation of resident health status

Requirements

  • MN LPN licensure
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
  • BLS is required upon hire and/or new hire must show proof that they are currently enrolled in a BLS class to renew or obtain their certification
  • BLS certification must be obtained within three-weeks of hire date and before nurse can perform independent practice
  • 0-1 years of experience
  • Ability to use technology in the form of computers, hand held devices, cell phones, and fax machines

Nice-to-haves

  • Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • MS Office, Excel, and Word
  • Point Click Care knowledge
