We are seeking a licensed Millwright (433A) to support our Hannon facility. This position will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The key focus is to safely maintain the equipment/machinery and troubleshoot problems, to produce quality products per company quality policy on all three shifts. The hourly rate for this position is $43.75 Shift: Weekly rotating 8 hours shifts: 06:00 am to 02:00 PM, 02:00 PM To 10:00 PM, 10:00PM to 06:00 am

Requirements

  • 433A Certified Licensed Industrial Millwright Mechanic/Technician
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, wiring, legislated standards
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all employees

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in paper and packaging industry an asset

Responsibilities

  • Keep downtime to shortest time possible, work as a team
  • Visually and physically inspect machinery and equipment, check for source of any problems that may occur from day to day
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment completing preventative maintenance
  • Required to maintain documentation in maintenance work order system
  • Remove defective parts, dismantle if necessary using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools. Make necessary repairs to machinery and equipment in an efficient manner
  • Fabricate and/or repair parts using machine shop instruments and equipment, when possible
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information answering questions and requests
  • Keep all tools and equipment in a safe and operational manner
  • Verify that any work performed is satisfactory and complete
  • Follow all ISO and HACCP requirements and procedures
  • Report all problems to your Supervisor
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) -Gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, Hi- viz vest in Shipping/warehouse
  • Maintain parts supply as required
  • Follow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedure
  • Mobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed before use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platforms
  • Report all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occur
  • Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and good housekeeping practices
  • Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the company
  • Keep fire equipment and exits clear all time
  • Other duties as assigned and required
