About the position
The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) position at Rockland Children's Psychiatric Center involves providing professional social work services to individuals with mental illness. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering culturally competent and evidence-based treatment in a recovery-oriented environment. The LMSW will engage in crisis intervention, treatment planning, and community resource linkage to ensure continuity of care for clients.
Responsibilities
- Providing crisis intervention, service linkages, and discharge planning.
- Developing treatment plans with individuals and the treatment team; monitoring and evaluating progress; and modifying treatment plans as needed.
- Determining discharge needs and appropriate community resources.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with community providers to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- Must be licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
- Ability to provide culturally competent and evidence-based treatment and support services.
