About the position

BrightStar Care is seeking experienced Certified Home Health Aides to provide essential care and support to clients in the Lake County, Indiana area. Responsibilities

• Providing assistance and hygiene care as directed, including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, and toileting activities.
• Assisting with daily tasks such as feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, and providing transportation to appointments and activities.
• Assisting clients with mobility work as defined by the plan of care and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Home Health Aide License required.
• 1 year of verifiable Home Health Aide experience.
• CPR certification is required.
• Ability to obtain a TB skin test or chest x-ray within the last 6 months.
• Ability to obtain a physical examination within the last 6 months.
• Valid Driver's License is necessary.
• Active Auto Insurance is required.
• Reliable transportation to transport clients while on the job.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull, with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass background checks.
