About the position

As a Licensed Clinical Supervisor at McAlister Institute, you will play a crucial role in supervising mental health workers and interns while collaborating closely with the Program Manager. This position involves overseeing clinical needs and co-occurring services across multiple programs, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based, client-centered services in a trauma-informed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and promote the mission, philosophy, values, and direction of McAlister Institute.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to mental health staff and interns.
  • Facilitate case conferences to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Deliver evidence-based, client-centered services, including mental health assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
  • Diagnose substance use and substance-induced disorders per Title 22 Drug Medi-Cal requirements.
  • Collaborate with an integrated treatment team to meet the diverse recovery needs of clients in a trauma-informed environment.
  • Adhere to all personnel policies and the employee handbook, including dress code and timely reporting.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Current valid California license as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, licensed psychologist, or physician certified in psychiatry (minimum of two years).
  • If licensed as an LPCC, must have completed relational hours training to supervise MFTs.
  • Completion of a minimum of six hours of supervision training or coursework in each renewal period.
  • Previous experience implementing and overseeing evidence-based interventions for co-occurring conditions in a multicultural, trauma-informed, and client-centered environment.
  • Ability to meet all BBS requirements for supervision and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., Title 22).
  • Strong supervisory skills with a track record of mentoring interns and trainees.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) to accurately document and review patient information and clinical data.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Compliance with all agency and contract requirements related to trainings, public health, certifications, and reporting.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment screening, including references, education verification, a criminal background check with at least one year clear of probation or parole, a drug test, and a negative TB test.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
