About the position

The Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician (Social Worker) in Court Services is responsible for providing mental health assessments, counseling, and support to individuals involved in the court system. This role aims to address the behavioral health needs of clients, facilitate their access to necessary services, and contribute to their overall well-being while navigating legal processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health assessments for clients involved in court services.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to clients.
  • Collaborate with legal professionals to develop treatment plans that align with court requirements.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources and support services.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal standards.
  • Participate in court hearings as needed to provide expert testimony regarding clients' mental health status.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.
  • Experience in providing mental health services, preferably in a court or legal setting.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical issues related to mental health treatment.
