Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Document medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification preferred.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Completion of required continuing education for certification (minimum of four hours every two years).
• Active certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance.
• One year of experience in an acute care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.
