About The Position

As the Level 1 Industrial Electrician for the Beasley Group, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment throughout the sawmill facility. This position supports production by ensuring electrical components of sawmill machinery operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This is an entry-level industrial electrical position working in a high-paced lumber manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Basic knowledge of: 120V–480V electrical systems Three-phase power Motor controls Lockout/Tagout procedures
Ability to use multimeters and electrical testing equipment.
Ability to work in an industrial environment (dust, noise, heat, outdoor conditions).
Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
Ability to work in hot, cold, and dusty environments typical of a sawmill.

Nice To Haves

Technical school certification in Industrial Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, motors, drives, and controls.
Troubleshoot basic electrical issues under supervision.
Perform preventative maintenance on sawmill equipment including: Conveyors Debarkers Head rigs Edgers Trimmers Kiln systems
Inspect wiring, panels, breakers, and control systems.
Replace motors, sensors, contactors, relays, and other electrical components.
Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment.
Read and interpret basic electrical schematics and blueprints.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Document maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Assist senior electricians with larger electrical projects.
Respond to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
