About the position

The Legal Recruiting Manager at Squire Patton Boggs is responsible for the recruitment and resourcing of attorneys and policy advisors. This role focuses on developing and delivering strategic recruiting plans with an emphasis on talent acquisition, diversity, and enhancing the firm's brand. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader capable of identifying effective recruiting strategies and setting measurable goals to improve recruiting efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified and diverse candidates using innovative sourcing strategies, including internal resources, community partnerships, employee referrals, professional networks, and social media.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to clarify search specifications and position requirements, and recruit, interview, and select finalists for presentation to the hiring manager.
  • Schedule interviews directly or coordinate with others, make travel arrangements for candidates, and follow up with candidates post-interview.
  • Create and maintain an environment of equal opportunity and diversity in support of the firm's inclusion and diversity strategic plan.
  • Develop written recruiting materials that align with the firm's strategic approach for the website, job fairs, and other advertising opportunities.
  • Set strategies, design new initiatives, benchmark best practices, create policies, establish success metrics, and monitor results to ensure recruiting aligns with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment requirements.
  • Support firm initiatives on social media and blogs, collaborating with the firm's social media teams to source, prepare, and distribute information.
  • Leverage social media and other advertising to identify and recruit top talent, and develop social media campaigns to increase firm awareness and promote the brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or commensurate experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in professional legal recruiting or law school career services, and two or more years of law firm experience.
  • Previous experience interviewing management-level professionals is required.
  • Knowledge of legal industry recruiting and talent acquisition trends.
