About the position

The Legal Intake Specialist at The Santos Law Firm plays a crucial role in establishing and nurturing relationships with prospective clients. This position is focused on providing exceptional customer service and support during the intake process, ensuring that potential clients feel comfortable and confident in their decision to engage with the firm. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and possess strong communication skills, with a commitment to helping clients navigate the legal system effectively.

Responsibilities

• Handling new prospective client(s) intake process.
• Researching Texas case law on specific legal issues on a case-by-case basis.
• Drafting, reviewing, and e-filing Motions, Briefs, Notices, Letters of Representation/Protection, and Proposed Orders.
• Managing client intake/communications/correspondence by providing case updates either via email or phone.
• Communication with Court Staff/Personnel.
• Interviewing/note taking when obtaining testimony/information from prospective client(s).
• Attending seminars, training classes and reviewing current professional literature to maintain and develop professional skills and knowledge.
• Organizing both physical and digital new client files in MyCase, and managing calendar appointments and court dates.

Requirements

• Law firm experience required (minimum 2 years).
• Proficient in Spanish language.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn and execute strategies effectively.
• Knowledgeable about the Texas criminal judicial process.
• People-oriented and enjoys interacting with others.
• Adaptable and flexible in work approach.
• Achievement-oriented and enjoys taking on challenges.
• Innovative and prefers working in unconventional ways.

Nice-to-haves

• Sales experience is preferred.
• Criminal Defense or Personal Injury experience is preferred.
