About the position
The Department of Art at Sam Houston State University invites applications for full or part time lecturer/pool faculty. We are seeking applicants with the ability to teach one or more courses in Drawing, Sculpture, Painting, Studio Art, Animation, Photography, Foundations in Digital Art, Workshop in Art Studio and History (Studio Foundations Program), or Intro to Art. This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
Responsibilities
- Teach one or more courses in Drawing, Sculpture, Painting, Studio Art, Animation, Photography, Foundations in Digital Art, Workshop in Art Studio and History, or Intro to Art.
Requirements
- MFA in related Art discipline is required.
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
- Evidence of ongoing creative practice.
