About the position
Kennesaw State University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer of Computer Science to join the Department of Computer Science. This position focuses primarily on teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and service to the university. The role is structured around a 90% teaching and 10% service workload model, and the preferred start date is August 2025.
Responsibilities
- Teach 4/5 courses per term (fall/spring) in computer science at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Deliver courses online, hybrid, or face-to-face as per department needs.
- Engage in service to the department, college, university, and professional community.
- Ensure teaching assignments align with earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or a Master's degree in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required to teach undergraduate courses.
- A Terminal/Doctorate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required to teach graduate courses. The required degree must be earned by the start date.
