About the position

The position involves teaching CSD 202 Hearing Science, an online undergraduate course during the eight-week summer session. The course covers the physical acoustics of sound, anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, and psychoacoustics. The lecturer will be responsible for developing course content, administering evaluations, grading, and providing support to students through office hours.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates online instruction for CSD 202 Hearing Science, including assessment of student performance.
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to the course.
  • Serves as the instructor of record and initial point of contact for students regarding course content and expectations.

Requirements

  • Experience in teaching or instructional design, particularly in the field of hearing science or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of the physical acoustics of sound, anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, and psychoacoustics.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with online teaching platforms and course management systems.
