About the position

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of a residential community by effectively leasing and marketing the property. This role requires a customer-focused individual with strong sales and communication skills to maintain high occupancy rates and foster positive relationships with both prospective and current residents.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, understand their needs and preferences, and professionally present available apartments and community amenities.
• Conduct property tours, highlight key features of the community and units, and provide detailed rental information.
• Stay informed about the condition of all vacant apartments, ensuring they are move-in ready.
• Process rental applications, including gathering and reviewing required documentation.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining daily and weekly reports, market surveys, move-out inventories, and resident communications.
• Promote the community through consistent marketing efforts, utilizing all available advertising platforms.
• Respond to resident inquiries and service requests promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with the Community Manager to ensure all leasing and operational goals are met.
• Utilize property management software (experience with Yardi 7S is a plus).
• Ensure that all lease paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• At least one year of property leasing experience required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Prior leasing, marketing, and sales experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with residents, prospects, and team members.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Must have a valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, and dependable transportation in good working condition.
