About the position

The Leasing Agent/Assistant Manager is responsible for managing leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring properties are well-maintained. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with potential tenants while effectively managing property operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
• Assist in the leasing process by preparing lease agreements and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
• Utilize OneSite software for data entry and management of tenant information.
• Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
• Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests.
• Negotiate lease terms with potential tenants while adhering to company policies and regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of Section 8 housing regulations as applicable.
• Implement conflict management strategies to resolve tenant disputes effectively.
• Support sales initiatives by promoting available properties through various marketing channels.
• Assist in facilities management tasks as needed, ensuring properties remain in excellent condition.

Requirements

• Background in property management or a related field.
• Strong skills in customer service, data entry, sales, and conflict management.
• Familiarity with OneSite software and Section 8 experience is an advantage.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
