About the position

The Lead Success Coach serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students, guides students through the recruitment process, orients students to training, monitors progress on academic goals, responds to individual learning needs, communicates with academic partners, and removes barriers in the way of success during the program. The Coach must have an unwavering belief in the ability of all participants to succeed and be able to support a growth mindset approach in all one-on-one coaching and group engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, enrolls and onboards students.
  • Conducts data entry associated with enrollment.
  • Liaises with course instructor, funders, and externship sites to assess student progress, and coach students as necessary to improve.
  • Implements and monitors education plans to aid in the successful achievement of client education goals.
  • Supports Director with Externship Coordination: communication with externship site, communication to students, collection of documents, ensuring supportive services available, matching students to placement site, workplace coaching, and more.
  • Provide excellent customer service for students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience working with individuals related to personal and professional goal setting.
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills and willingness to be part of a team.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about Philadelphia's workforce needs, certification courses and requirements for credentialing opportunities.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Flexible workweek hours required: some early evening and weekend work required.
  • Ability and desire to attend in-person classes, coaching sessions, events, as needed.
