About the position

The Lead Solar Operations Analyst will support the financial activities of utility-scale solar assets at TotalEnergies. This role involves managing general ledger activities, preparing financial statements compliant with US GAAP and IFRS, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency. The analyst will also be responsible for monitoring performance metrics and ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the general ledger activities for complex joint ventures and project assets.
  • Prepare US GAAP and IFRS compliant financial statements quarterly and annually.
  • Develop relationships with Asset Managers to ensure quality information exchange.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
  • Create comprehensive monthly and quarterly reporting packages highlighting key performance metrics.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement areas.
  • Develop and maintain reports monitoring performance, productivity, and profitability of solar operations.
  • Analyze operational data related to solar energy production and efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage bank accounts, ensuring sufficient funds for operations.
  • Maintain and monitor the internal control environment for each entity.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of control effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Management or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of related audit and financial statement preparation experience, preferably with BIG4.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication at all organizational levels.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated with flexibility to operate in a rapid-growth environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in solar energy operations or finance.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy regulations and compliance.
