About The Position

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will guide and mentor a team of software engineers, overseeing the technical design, development, and delivery of complex software projects. You will define technical requirements, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices for your product area or multiple teams. You will conduct comprehensive code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards and quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices. You will collaborate with product management, engineering leadership, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives, manage project timelines and resources, and mitigate technical risks. You will maintain a hands-on role in architecture and implementation while enabling your team to execute effectively and grow.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
Extensive experience in software engineering
Significant experience leading teams or large technical initiatives
Strong background in software architecture, system design, and highly scalable, resilient solutions
Ability to set technical vision and strategy
Ability to solve strategic and cross-cutting technical problems
Ability to anticipate future challenges
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Experience representing engineering in high-level discussions with product and business leaders
Proven ownership of the technical health and success of a major product or platform
Track record of developing and guiding senior engineers
