About The Position
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Shipside Operations Specialist (Ship Captain) to join our H-47 Operations team in Ridley Park, PA. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience managing or leading a project
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
- Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements
- Experience working with MS Office Suite, such as Word, Excel and MS Project
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) experience
- Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
- Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
- Experience collecting and analyzing data and generating metrics reports
- Strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Responsibilities
- Supports daily tier meetings and drive timely resolution of known constraints to responsible support organizations
- Works cross-functionally to resolve issues impacting the production schedule such as engineering issues, part shortages, and staffing constraints
- Analyzes defect data to determine point of origin and root cause, and develop corrective action plans to prevent defect reoccurrence
- Develops and execute continuous improvement projects to help achieve cost and schedule targets as well as overall business goals and objectives
- Develops organizational and technical strategies to support production needs
- Provides input to Program Management teams on aircraft operations and delivery status as well as major aircraft build milestones and critical restraints
- Develops and maintain relationships and partnerships with Manufacturing Leadership, Program Management, and support organizations
