About the position
The position involves assisting the Shipping Supervisors and Warehouse Manager in various supervisory functions within the warehouse environment. The role focuses on training and developing associates, ensuring adherence to company policies, and overseeing order selection and truck loading processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities and possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively coach and train team members.
Responsibilities
- Assist Management in supervision of the Department
- Assist with order selection
- Assist with truck loading
- Promote sanitation procedures
- Operate warehouse equipment
- Handle special projects
- Implement loss prevention and safety measures
- Assist Supervisors in the training of new associates
- Learn and enforce all policies and procedures
Requirements
- Experience operating PMHE including motorized pallet jack, stand up reach truck, and cherry picker
- Aptitude for leadership
- Strong people skills
- Ability to train and coach people
Nice-to-haves
- One (1) year warehouse experience, preferably in a food warehouse
