About the position
The Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, and freezers. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems. The technician will communicate repair status updates with customers and the branch office, as well as parts information with the branch. Completing service calls accurately and timely, while maintaining a safety mindset, is essential. The technician will also audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked and maintain the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms in accordance with company policies and procedures. Meeting on-call requirements is also part of the job.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
- Communicate repair status updates with customers and branch office.
- Communicate parts information with the branch.
- Complete service calls accurately, timely, and with a safety mindset.
- Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Meet on-call requirements.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration/HVAC service and repair.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with safety standards.
- Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
Nice-to-haves
- An electrical, installation, and mechanical background would be a plus.
- Journeyman License and/or CFESA certification would be a plus, but not required.
