About The Position

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Lead Security Officer to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. The Lead Security Officer will serve as a visible leadership presence for the Security Department and collaborate with other Departments to ensure and attain operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a Security Officer or Loss Prevention Agent in an upscale or luxury environment
  • Obtain a CPR certification, as well as a state issued Private Security Officer License within 60 days of hire date
  • Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and any security operation software systems
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to guests and colleagues concerning professionalism, empathy, and sound judgement consistent with The Post Oak Hotel standards.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the hotel’s emergency preparedness and response procedures.
  • Responsible for documenting and producing fact-based security/safety incidents, logging daily activity, managing key control, and issuing visitor badge credentials.
  • Experience using video management systems, to view, replay, and archive surveillance footage.
  • Lead by example in responding to security incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, life safety system alarms in a calm, decisive, and professional manner.
  • Conduct routine patrols and security assessments of the hotel campus to proactively identify and mitigate safety and security risks.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement while supporting departmental initiatives focused on safety, preparedness, elevated guest experience, and leadership development.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with hotel leadership, emergency first responders, and operational departments during incidents, investigations, and high-profile guest activities.
  • Assist on-duty Security Management with day-to-day operations, and perform other duties as assigned.
