About the position

The Lead RPA Developer at SouthState is a mid-level position responsible for leading a team in the development, implementation, and monitoring of automated processes using RPA tools such as UIPath and Foxtrot. This role involves managing workloads, overseeing multiple RPA projects, and ensuring optimal performance of automation applications while supporting the automation team in various development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team members in using UIPath and/or Foxtrot applications to meet business needs.
  • Manage workloads of RPA Developers for efficient time and cost utilization.
  • Oversee multiple RPA projects and report KPIs to managers on resource performance.
  • Monitor and support UIPath and/or Foxtrot applications for consistent performance.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support applications during the established support window.
  • Train new resources on application use, support, and administration.
  • Collaborate with peers, managers, and stakeholders on new project implementations.
  • Communicate outages and issues with software to stakeholders promptly.
  • Open necessary incidents with internal teams and software vendors for timely issue resolution.
  • Participate in outage calls and work sessions to resolve defects and outages.
  • Document scripts explaining logic, inputs, outputs, and schedules.
  • Engage in Business Continuity testing activities for applications.
  • Identify efficiencies and areas for innovation in software or processes.
  • Participate in scheduled team and project meetings.
  • Listen to and explain business requirements effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Professional degree in a related discipline, or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of programming/scripting experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing people.
  • Proficiency in at least one RPA development tool, preferably UIPath and/or Foxtrot.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts, planning, execution, and reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • General banking and financial knowledge including core, ACH, Wire, Card, and lending terms.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications for documentation.
