About the position

The Lead Research Coordinator Trainer at MaineHealth is responsible for providing comprehensive training support to the Clinical Trials Office team. This role ensures that research personnel are adequately trained to protect participant safety and uphold ethical research practices. The trainer will lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of training programs for Research Staff, collaborating with various stakeholders including Principal Investigators and regulatory bodies. The position offers flexibility with remote or on-site work options.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the training and ongoing operations support for Research Coordinators.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement initial orientation and ongoing training programs for Research Staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with study Principal Investigators and Clinical Coordinators.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory bodies regarding training and education.
  • Maintain strong organizational and communication skills to facilitate training processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a health science or related field required.
  • 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Knowledge of basic statistical principles and methods.
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable computer competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals or Society of Clinical Research Associates preferred.
