About the position

Receiving Lead will work directly with operations to support production needs around production control and planning of machines in their designated area of responsibility. Responsibilities will cover functions related to coordinating a seamless production flow in relation to raw materials, work in process material, and through to finish goods transfer of material.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting supervisor in keeping department operating efficiently.
• Responsible for overseeing receiving and other warehouse processes and personnel to ensure quality standards are performed according to established procedures.
• Responsible for the receipt of purchased goods, verifying counts and quality, complete transactions to receive product, process paperwork and complete all necessary transactions according to established procedures. Locate product to the appropriate areas according to procedure.
• Responsible for inspecting freight upon arrival, and document any signs of damage.
• Responsible for performing supervisory duties as needed.
• Responsible for operating machines or performing jobs in other departments as needed.
• Responsible for assisting supervision in regard to safety, housekeeping and employee job performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.
• Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and write legibly.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions explicitly.
• Judgments concerning operation of department are encountered.
• Must have outstanding work habits.
• Must be familiar with warehouse operating systems.
• Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements.
• Must be able to shift priorities easily.
• Must be able to work well with others.
