Acts as a subject matter expert to support the organization with initial compliance and ongoing preparation, testing, and monitoring of conformance to established quality systems processes and standards for manufacturing and production. This role performs high-level evaluation of internal controls, communications, risk assessments, and maintenance of documentation as related to compliance with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The specialist will train other staff members, act as a back-up for the manager, identify risks and evaluate deficiencies, and facilitate internal training on quality assurance requirements, processes, and procedures. Audits and risk assessments may also be performed. The role involves working on problems of diverse scope where data analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors, demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, and networking with senior internal and external personnel. The individual receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments. They will act as a back-up subject matter expert, provide assistance to lower-level staff with more complex tasks, and mentor other staff as applicable. The specialist will review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state, and federal laws and regulations, and assist with various projects as assigned. Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations, with specific functions detailed in an applicable addendum.
