About the position

The Lead Product Manager for AI at Xero will spearhead the development and management of AI products, focusing on enhancing financial and business intelligence for small businesses. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and ensuring that Xero's AI initiatives align with customer needs and commercial outcomes. The position requires a strong background in AI product management, collaboration with diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to mentoring and coaching within the product team.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer problems and define solutions to test.
• Develop and manage product roadmaps and strategies.
• Create product release strategies and oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle.
• Review and monitor commercial and customer results to inform product strategy.
• Lead and manage a product or group of products, ensuring maintenance and support throughout their lifecycle.
• Work directly with engineers to align technical direction with product goals.

Requirements

• Experience working with AI products or a strong passion for AI products.
• Experience developing a 0-1 product.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments.
• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders at various levels.
• Extensive experience in product practice thought leadership and defining product roadmaps.
• Strong track record of addressing customer needs through innovative technology.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in mentoring, supporting, and coaching team members.
