About the position

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Holy Family Medical Center is responsible for overseeing shift operations, supervising staff, and ensuring quality imaging services. This role involves collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and support for the Radiologist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The Lead Technologist also manages the processing and transmission of images to PACS, promoting teamwork and excellent customer service within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or staff.
  • Supervises staff in the absence of manager/director.
  • Promotes teamwork and good customer service.
  • Assists in annual evaluations and staff discipline.
  • Works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide quality imaging.
  • Supports the Radiologist in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

Requirements

  • Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH.
  • A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
  • One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
  • Graduate of a program accredited by ARRT.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) required.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment preferred.
