About the position

The Lead MRI Technologist at Saint Joseph Hospital is responsible for overseeing MRI operations, ensuring high-quality imaging services, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role involves supervising staff, promoting teamwork, and contributing to patient care through accurate imaging and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or staff.
• Supervises staff in the absence of manager/director.
• Promotes teamwork and good customer service.
• Assists in annual evaluations and staff discipline.
• Assists with scheduling and maintains supplies and equipment for department.
• Responsible for the performance of all aspects of MR imaging in accordance with established procedures and policies.
• Follows all regulatory guidelines and MRI safety precautions.
• Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations.
• Contributes to total patient care by accessing pertinent patient information and processing images accurately.
• Records information related to exams into the department computer system.

Requirements

• ARRT (MR) Certification required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and must remain current.
• Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program or MRI course required.
• At least 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
