The North America Brand Management Team (across Women/Men/Kids) is the marketing function responsible for leading and driving plans that serve the brand and business. Our goal is to know & serve inspiration, innovation and enablement to unlock the power of sport for every athlete*! We are looking for an experienced Brand Lead with a deep passion for basketball and a proven track record in brand marketing, strategy development, relationship management, and executing marketing activations for a focused consumer group. This individual should be a self-starter, coachable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced corporate environment, with the ability to see cross-functional plans through from concept to execution. In this role, you will lead our Men’s Basketball Brand Marketing offense in North America and co-create a new era of Nike Basketball.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with our global brand management team, marketing functional partners, and city leaders to bring North America dimension to Brand marketing plans and key consumer concepts.
  • Obsess the basketball consumer, youth culture and their needs.
  • Translate consumer insights into marketing strategies.
  • Build strong marketing plans for Nike Athletes and Products.
  • Drive clarity across marketing functions while leading seasonal plans for basketball.
  • Execute marketing activations and consumer experiences.
  • Need good understanding of the digital ecosystem.
  • Need knowledge of consumer and marketplace trends for basketball.
  • Partner with Sports Marketing to elevate athlete storytelling and athlete integration into NA programming and activations.
  • Partner with city teams to activate hoops in the communities that drive maximum impact and influence.
  • Track and manage seasonal campaign progress measurement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing or related experience with a deep understanding of the basketball ecosystem and the elite and everyday basketball athlete.
  • Demonstrated genuine passion and deep understanding of basketball, culture, fashion, trends and growing the sport across underserved communities.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Nike basketball product and athlete portfolio.
  • A team-first mentality and ability to influence decision makers.
  • Digital first approach with strong initiative and curiosity to cultivate innovation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to balance creativity with organization and discipline in fast moving, ambiguous environment.
