About the position
We are hiring immediately for a full time LEAD JANITOR position at SSC Services for Education, a member of Compass Group. This role involves performing administrative tasks, training team members, and overseeing overall training activities for custodial associates. The Lead Janitor acts as a resource for others due to their knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and heavy commercial cleaning equipment. The position is located at TASD - 1600 Forest Street, Texarkana, AR 71854, with a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. More details will be provided during the interview.
Responsibilities
- Conducts classroom and hands-on training on customer service, safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Conducts one-on-one training as needed.
- Updates and provides training on the use of janitorial equipment, PPE, and chemical usage/safety.
- Copies training material and revises material as needed; conducts administrative tasks as requested.
- Provides feedback on new associates during the orientation period; reviews trainee records to ensure successful compliance.
- Provides recommendations to the training coordinator for disciplinary action as appropriate.
- Performs reviews, i.e., monthly safety performance review, to ensure compliance with OSHA, Risk Management, and other applicable company/federal/state/local requirements and policies.
- Performs walk-through building inspections as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous lead and supervisory experience required.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
